Qi (energy), in Traditional Chinese Medicine, freely flows in the body’s meridian system to keep the body and mind healthy. When Qi becomes blocked, excessive or deficient, it can result in physical or mental illness. To restore balance, the acupuncturist will insert hair fine needles to points selected among 400 acupoints in the whole body and perform needling techniques.
As an experienced acupuncture specialist, Dr. Yan selects minimal points to achieve maximal results. She applies her own energy through the needle to interact with the patients’ to correct stagnation, excess and deficiency, so as to help the healing.
Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) is an ancient system of health care that has undergone continual development over the centuries as the causes of illness that afflict mankind have evolved. In China, it is not an alternative form of therapy, but is used in the state hospitals alongside modern medicine.
Chinese Herbs are pure nature products which will do almost no harm to the body if applied under the guidance of a Doctor of TCM. The forms can be patent (pills or small balls), powdered herbs and raw herbs.
